About Shaelyn (she/her)

I believe connection is the cornerstone of therapy, and I'm here to guide you in creating meaningful connections that can transform your life.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in a passion for accompanying clients on their journey toward creating the life they want to live. As a therapist, I engage deeply in the therapeutic process, conveying warmth and empathy while modeling direct and open communication. Employing a strengths-based approach, I strive to help clients establish profound connections within themselves and their relationships. I guide clients in their healing process by exploring their emotions, communication patterns, and interactions. I strongly believe in tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs through an integrative approach rooted in self-worth, compassion, possibility, and growth.

I have a passion for working with Intercultural Couples, specializing in guiding partners from diverse cultural backgrounds through the unique challenges and opportunities that arise in their relationships. I provide a supportive space where couples can:

-Resolve cultural conflicts with empathy and understanding
-Navigate family dynamics influenced by traditions and expectations
-Overcome communication barriers shaped by language or cultural styles
-Align on shared goals while honoring individual identities
-Build intimacy and connection as a unified team

I am a humanistic therapist grounded in attachment theory who uses modalities including Satir’s Human Growth Model, Gottman Couples Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I work best with individuals and couples with a diverse array of personal and relational challenges including: Couple Conflicts, Life Transitions, Self-Esteem, Identity Development, Emotional Regulation, Dating, and Attachment Styles.
