Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy in Arvada, CO
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) offers a therapeutic approach for individuals who feel stuck despite previous therapy, medication, or personal growth work. By combining ketamine treatment with psychotherapy, KAP can support deeper emotional processing, self-understanding, and meaningful change.
At Life Reimagined Therapy Group, KAP is grounded in a relational and integrative approach that includes preparation, therapeutic support during the ketamine experience, and ongoing integration.
Our Approach to Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
At Life Reimagined Therapy Group, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is grounded in a relational and integrative approach to healing. We understand that symptoms such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and emotional overwhelm often develop within larger personal, relational, and life contexts. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, we help clients explore the deeper experiences, patterns, and beliefs that may be contributing to feeling stuck.
Unlike medication-only ketamine services, KAP combines the therapeutic benefits of ketamine with ongoing psychotherapy to support deeper insight, emotional processing, and long-term integration.
Our therapists provide support through preparation, dosing, and integration phases of KAP, creating a safe and collaborative space to explore insights and translate them into meaningful change. We believe the therapeutic relationship and integration process are essential parts of healing, helping clients make sense of their experiences and apply new perspectives to their everyday lives.
Our Therapists draw from a variety of evidence-informed and experiential approaches to support emotional processing, self-understanding, and meaningful change. The specific approaches used will depend on your goals, experiences, and the therapist you work with.

The Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Process
Step 1: Preparation:
Before beginning KAP, you will meet with your therapist to explore your goals, discuss your history, and determine whether KAP is an appropriate fit for your needs. Preparation sessions help establish emotional safety, clarify intentions, and build a foundation for the work ahead.
Because ketamine is a medical treatment, all clients must complete a medical evaluation and receive clearance through Journey Clinical before participating in dosing sessions. This helps ensure that KAP is both safe and appropriate for your individual circumstances.
Step 2: Dosing Sessions:
Ketamine sessions are conducted in a supportive therapeutic environments with a certified therapist present throughout the experience. The ketamine is administered as an oral lozenge during session. Sessions typically last up to three hours, allowing time for preparation, the ketamine experience itself, and initial processing afterward. During these sessions, clients may encounter new perspectives, emotions, memories, or insights that can support healing and growth.
Step 3: Integration:
Integration sessions help transform insights gained during ketamine experiences into meaningful change in daily life. Together, you and your therapist will explore themes that emerged, deepen understanding, and identify ways to apply new awareness to relationships, emotions, and personal goals. We believe that meaningful healing happens not only during the ketamine experience itself, but through the ongoing process of making sense of and integrating those experiences into everyday life.
Many clients continue ongoing individual therapy alongside KAP to support integration, emotional processing, and lasting change.
Note: Life Reimagined Therapy Group partners with Journey Clinical for medical evaluation and ketamine prescribing. Our therapists provide the psychotherapy, preparation, and integration support that surround the ketamine experience.
